The DJI Matrice series has three different drones: the DJI Matrice 200, Matrice 210 and the Matrice 210 RTK. The DJI Matrice 200 is the most basic version in the series, as it doesn’t offer the possibility of multiple payloads, universal ports and the RTK – GPS system. This means that the DJI Matrice 200 cannot be fitted with a double gimbal or a gimbal on top of the drone.
The DJI Matrice 210 v2 and Matrice 210 RTK v2 do have this function, so these two drones can be used for inspection purposes. With the DJI Matrice 210 v2 and Matrice 210 RTK v2 you have three options for mounting the gimbals. This means that you can customize your drone to perfectly fit your industry or work. However, it is not possible to simultaneously mount one gimbal on top and one gimbal at the bottom on the DJI Matrice 210 v2 and Matrice 210 RTK v2.
There are three possible gimbal configurations: one underneath, one on top or two underneath. When the dual gimbal configuration is used, the left gimbal supports the XT and the Z30 on the DJI Matrice 210 and Matrice 210 RTK. The right gimbal supports all the gimbals: de XT, Z30, X4S and the X5S. Furthermore, both the DJI Matrice 210 and Matrice 210 RTK have universal ports.
This ensures that your third-party sensors can connect to your drone and can further develop with the onboard and mobile SDK.
Finally, only the DJI Matrice 210 RTK has the RTK-GPS system. This had two major advantages: accuracy and resistant to magnetic field interference. This GPS system can detect a precise location of 2 millimetres, making the DJI Matrice 210 RTK very precise to control.
